Driving Directions:
From Raleigh: Travel I-85 west through Charlotte and Gastonia -
Exit at Kings Mountain Highway 74 west (exit 10-B) and travel approxiately
15 miles to Shelby - turn right onto Hwy 74 Business or (Marion Street)
at Hampton Inn - the Cleveland County Fair will be one mile on right
From Gaffney: Travel I-85 to Shelby exit 96 (highway 18) stay on 18 until first stop light and turn right on 150 east - right at stop light on east 74 by pass - at third stop light turn left on North 180 - at second stop light turn right East Marion Street and fairground will be on immediate left.
From Fallston: Travel Highway 18 south - turn left at stop light onto 180 - turn left at 3th stoplight on Marion Street - Fairground directly on left.
Free Parking:
FREE parking and tram rides available from all fairground-operated parking
lots.
Handicap Parking:
Parking is provided for visitors with valid tags and is located in parking
lot across the just in front of ticket gate 1and at gate 14.
Lost and Found
Children/Items:
Located at the Cleveland County Fair Administrative Office. This office
is located just across from the water wheel. Lost children will be taken
to this office. Check at this office for lost items.
Medical Emergencies:
Shelby Rescue Squad will provide emergency medical services.
For all first aid and medical emergencies go to the First Aid Station
located in the brick building across from the Dorton Exhibit Hall.
Security/Traffic
Assistance:
Security is provided by all off duty Deputies of the Cleveland County
Sheriff's Department. Traffic assistance is provided by the North Carolina
Highway Patrol.
Other Important Information:
• No alcoholic beverages, drugs or firearms are allowed on the grounds.
Backpacks are subject to being checked.
• No pets allowed. Only trained service dogs assisting the handicapped
are allowed on the fairgrounds.
